All work and no play make Lavender a dull writer... Since I started studying really diligently and ambitiously more than one week ago, my time on-line has been minimal. On the other hand, I now know a whole lot more about the history of the People's Republic of China and stuff. I also have a new, struggling and strong caffeine-addiction. And oh, we had some two or three recording sessions with the chorus, laying down some tracks for our upcoming CD which I will tell you to buy once it gets out.
Gosh, I get bored even writing about my nerdy week.As I wrote earlier here somewhere - I really don't respect people who have a boring blog where they don't write about anything special or important... Thumbs up for dedicated music blogs, political blogs and other, constructive and productive blogs which provide their readers with useful info. Mine is of course in the former category and I'm quite embarrassed about that fact... But what I detest more than pointless personal blogs, are pointless personal blogs linking to mindless Youtube-clips which anyone with a decent Internet connection and no life has already seen. So. Here we go... Charlie the Unicorn
I've become, it seems, what I've always hated... Hahahah!
And to make this look pretty, I've uploaded some more photos from my stay in China.
Love and bunnies,
Lavender

Old friends... Sat on their park bench like bookends. Evening! I just had the privilege to have a good, very old friend over for dinner. I've known her since we were ten, but we haven't met for like two or three years because we went to universities in different cities and stuff. Thus, this night was all about catching up re life; school, job, (ex) partners - everything. It was a very still and warm evening.
She just left, and I'm sitting here feeling calmly happy. Somehow, sometimes, especially after coming home from a long trip filled with meetings with new people, places and new life experiences - meeting someone who truly knows you, or at least grew up with you, is plain awesome. There are always things about you that someone you've only known for half a year or so can't possibly know, and that's exactly why I like spending time with someone who has known you since you were kids.
Anyhow, we've both been in Shanghai for a long (but not at the same) time, so that was a good and grand topic. We looked at some of my 10 000 photos (yes I know) and now I figured; why not upload some of them here for all the world to see? Hahaha who am I kidding...
All of these are taken at Summer Palace in Beijing, China, August 2008. I'll upload some more eventually...
Until next time,
Lavender

Adieu 2008, Ninhao 2009... And so another year has left us, with what? For me personally, a new patch of memories and experiences and lips and flowers and rainbows and whatnot. Definitely worth celebrating! After a slight change of plans we ended up downtown in my friend's boyfriend's (also my friend) friendly family home. I was stunned, amazed at the wonderful tastes and magical flavors of the food which was cooked as I stood by, sipping on my odd martini...
After that we went somewhere to meet someone and do something, ultimately ending up on a classy ole bridge observing the sky and the fiery spectacle taking place at that time, which, if I'm correct, would be around the end of last year and the beginning of this year.
It was a joyous occasion and a festive atmosphere, but slowly me and my closest companion began to lose interest and our moods sort of dropped slightly, so we returned to this companion's flat where we enjoyed some music and finally fell asleep in a sort of "I haven't really passed out but not fallen asleep normally either"-fashion.
Next day, which would be yesterday, we raided the closest open pizzaplace, went back, and watched three movies (The Dark Knight, Corpse Bride and Tropic Thunder), different genres, different people, different tastes... I managed to catch the last train and the last bus home, where I randomly bumped into my other very close companion and we travelled through the winter night retelling and discussing the events of last night. This would be the night before last night. If I am correct.
Weee, my Hercules DJ Console MK2 has arrived! I've been playing with it ever since I plugged it in, 5 hours and I'm not bored yet! The need for food, friends and fish (?) is absolutely gone. Thank you, materialism and music.
