Tomorrow Night is New Year's Eve they say. It seems I will be spending it with one of my best friends, a nice rare steak and some mild intoxicants. After that we'll probably get invited to head out somewhere into the dark midwinter night in order to go party, get adequately intoxicated and do things we'll regret the next year...
My laptop broke down today. Great. And the Hercules DJ Console MK2 I ordered hasn't shown up yet. What the heck am I supposed to do when I'm alone in my home and too lazy to call someone over (allthough I did that, thanks M for coming over and cheering me up some) and not motivated enough to start a new project - let's say - studying for my upcoming exam next year?
Well, I picked up my camera and photographed some things I found in my room. One is a companion I've had since I was fourteen years old, the other one is a small leftover found in my pocket after a good night downtown; a concert, dinner, two bars, two clubs and one friend's bedroom. Thanks guys for a good night out, much needed.

The clock tells me the time is four minutes past one A.M. I'm sitting here mixing some songs for my own delight, in the wee small hours of the night. It's been a pleasant evening; a friend turned twenty-one which we all found worth celebrating. She invited some seventeen of us to her pretty home. There was good food, red wine, old friends and new faces, incorrect jokes and glittering presents...
I disappeared somehow upstairs into someone's bedroom with someone, discussing The Office for hours, and when I descended I realized most people had already left, and the others were deeply sunk into a seemingly endless jam session. As my emotional landscape was sort of misshaped by the mild alcohol-intake, I felt a sudden need to rush home and hide myself in my laptop and my music.
No photos for now, but there will be some next time. Until then, please lay your paws on these tracks and press PLAY.
Over and out,
Lavender

It's amazing how we humans often do what we say we won't. I promised myself and my closest people I would never start "blogging" - is that even a word? - because I was so sick of the trend even before it was a trend, don't ask me why. But. Here I am, writing my first post on a place not unlike my cousin's blog, you might call mine a complete rip-off actually.
I will not focus on myself, I will not let many people know about this blog, so all in all I view this as my (other) secret little On-line hideout, my little barn on the edges of the woods of the Net.
You'll now and then find A Little Something I for some reason uploaded here, most probably photos, possibly some comments on my life, the people in it, the world or the human state in general, also some quotes from whatever I have in my paws and mental claws at the moment, and quite unlikely - music and links to other blogs and places on the net.
For now, a couple of photos of what I saw from my bedroom window last night, and a small, kind and not seductive at all - kiss on the cheek.
Love and Lavender,
Me
